The CCIA (Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW) Awards of Excellence 2009 were held at the Hunter Valley on 29th July 2009 - Two of our parks were proud receipients of awards on the evening.
Halifax Holiday Park in Nelson Bay was awarded a prestigious Award of Excellence on 29 July 2009 for the Best North Coast Holiday Park 31/2 to 4 Stars (more than 100 sites) at the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner at Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley.
In addition to Best North Coast Holiday Park, Halifax Holiday Park was also awarded the CCIA Excellence in Environmental Innovation - Park at the Gala Dinner Event.
Barry Baillie, CEO of the CCIA says that the Awards of Excellence recognise caravan and holiday parks, manufactured home villages and estates, caravan and RV manufacturers and dealers as well as industry suppliers across 23 categories for business excellence.
"The Awards of Excellence is the industry's highlight event which recognises business excellence in the caravan and camping sector and is the highest accolade that a caravan, RV or camping business can achieve."
Judges were impressed with Halifax Holiday Park's first class cabin presentation and staff enthusiasm and passion. The environmental elements of Halifax Holiday Park such as the implementation of a worm farm and low cost lighting were also key characteristics of the park which set it above the rest in its category.
"Halifax Holiday Park is an excellent example of a north coast park which is taking advantage of its natural assets and location to attract groups and general travellers and then providing quality accommodation to meet the needs of the guest," said Mr Barry Baillie.
Soldiers Point Holiday Park in Port Stephens was also awarded a prestigious Award of Excellence on 29 July 2009 for the Best North Coast Holiday Park 31/2 to 4 Stars (less than 100 sites) at the Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW (CCIA) Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner at Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley.
In addition to Best North Coast Holiday Park, Soldiers Point Holiday Park was also awarded the Department of Lands Environmental Excellence Award for Holiday Parks (on Crown Land) at the Gala Dinner Event.
Judges were impressed with Soldiers Point Holiday Park's overall presentation with landscaping framing the grounds and quality cabin accommodation.
"Soldiers Point Holiday Park is an excellent example of a north coast park which is providing quality accommodation and facilities to suit the needs of the travelling public to ensure they receive a positive touring experience," said Mr Barry Baillie.
